Movie Story

Salman Khan made his debut with Biwi Ho To Aisi (1988), but his first commercial hit was the blockbuster Maine Pyar Kiya (1989), which not only catapulted him into the top league but also won him a Filmfare Best Male Debut Award for his performance.

Sallu, as he is fondly called, went on to deliver such hits as Saajan (1991),Hum Aapke Hain Kaun (1994), Biwi No.1 (1999), Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam(1999), Tere Naam (2003), No Entry (2005) and Partner (2007), besides other successful films.

In 2008, Salman Khan made his debut on television with the game show,Dus Ka Dum, based on the international show The Power of 10.

Salman has been romantically linked with several actresses, including Aishwarya Rai, Somy Ali and Sangeeta Bijlani. He is currently dating model-turned-actress Katrina Kaif.

Salman's full name is Abdul Rashid Salim Salman Khan and he was born on December 27, 1965. The actor is the son of well known screenwriter Salim Khan and his first wife Salma Khan. Salman's step mother is the yesteryear actress Helen. He has two brothers, actors Arbaaz Khan and Sohail Khan, and two sisters, Alvira and Arpita. Alvira is married to actor/director Atul Agnihotri.
