Pageant Life Isn't a Bed of Roses for Oxana Fedorova

Oxana Fedorova becomes the first Miss Universe from Russia in 2002. She collected her crown, sash, and prize money...and then seemed to disappear, not showing up to many of the events she was expected to attend. Saying she wanted to devote her time to finishing her law degree, she announced she was voluntarily giving up the crown -- though pageant officials insisted they gave her the boot (and still refuse to recognize her as a former Miss Universe).
