The musical romance and comedy, is based on a 2008 Telugu film headlining south actor Ram and Genelia that turned out to be one of the highest grosser of the year. The original film had Ram playing a college student, something 44-year-old Salman had qualms doing. So he asked helmer Anees Bazmee to tweak the script to suit his maturity and image. Anees, who is in the midst of filming Thank You, managed to squeeze time from his busy schedule to accommodate Salman's request. "We've changed the Hindi version of Ready drastically, and for the better," Anees told TOI. "The hero in the Telugu film was 19 and a college student." "Salman wasn't comfortable playing that young a character. He will now play a guy who manages his father's business. Salman can't play a college student any longer and he's sensible enough to admit it." Filming is scheduled to start on Jun 15, after Anees wraps up Thank You and Salman finishing his shoot for Dabaang. On his upcoming film Kick Salman is stoked after listening to a narration of his upcoming film Kick. Late night on Monday, he tweeted "Hey , jst heard the story of kick , amazing. He only does wat gives him a kick in life which is so fantastic I lv d it." Currently filming Salman recently completed filming for Dabangg. He will next start filming for Ready. Shoots without his trademark bracelet Salman, who had been wearing a Feroza bracelet for 15 years, took it off for the filming of Dabangg on the advice of the film's director Abhinav Kashyap. Kashyap told Salman, who plays a tough cop in the film, that wearing the bracelet in a cops uniform wouldn't be appropriate. Salman started wearing the bracelet as a tribute to his father, who always wore on. Notes:Salman Khan is the eldest son of celebrated screenwriter Salim Khan and his first wife Salma Khan. His stepmother is Helen, a famous yesteryear Bollywood actress, who has co-starred with him in Kahmoshi: The Musical and Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam. He has two brothers, actor Arbaaz Khan and actor Sohail Khan, and two sisters, Alvira and Arpita. Alvira is married to actor/director Atul Agnihotri. Alok Mathur is his official spokesperson. Salman has been romantically linked with several actresses and has had relationships with ex-girlfriends Aishwarya Rai, Somy Ali and Sangeeta Bijlani. He has been said to be dating model-turned-actress 23 year old Katrina Kaif since 2003. Salman's debut film was Biwi Ho To Aisi (1988) where he played a supporting role. His first leading role in a Bollywood movie was in Sooraj R. Barjatya's romance Maine Pyar Kiya (1989). Salman is a dedicated bodybuilder. He trains everyday and is famous for taking off his shirt in movies and stage shows alike. On October 11, 2007, Khan accepted an offer from Madame Tussauds wax museum in London to have a wax replica made of himself. His life-size wax figure was finally installed there on January 15, 2008, making him the fourth Indian actor to have been replicated as a wax statue in the museum. Known as the bad boy of Bollywood, Salman has also been involved in a few legal troubles during his career. On September 28, 2002, Salman was arrested for rash and negligent driving. His car had collided into a bakery in Mumbai; one person who was sleeping on the sidewalk outside the bakery died and three others were injured in the mishap. Charges of culpable homicide were laid against him, but later dropped, and he was found to be, not guilty. On February 17, 2006, Khan was sentenced to one year in prison for hunting an endangered species, the Chinkara. The sentence was stayed by a higher court during appeal. On April 10, 2006, Salman was handed a five year jail term for hunting the endangered Chinkara and was remanded to Jodhpur jail, and remained there until April 13, when he was granted bail. On August 24, 2007, the Jodhpur sessions court, upheld the 5 year jail term for Khan turning down his appeal against the 2006 judgement. A day after, he was placed under police arrest in Jodhpur. On August 31, 2007, Khan was released on bail from the Jodhpur Central jail where he spent six days. His turbulent relationship with his ex-girlfreind, actress Aishwarya Rai was a well publicised topic in the Indian media. After their break-up in March 2002, Rai accused him of harassing her and hounding her following which her parents lodged a complaint against him. In 2005, news outlets released what was said to be an illicit copy of a mobile phone call recorded in 2001 by the Mumbai police. It appeared to be a call in which he threatened his ex-girlfriend, Aishwarya Rai, in an effort to force her to appear at social events held by Mumbai crime figures. The call featured boasts of connections to organized crime and derogatory comments about other actors. However, the alleged tape was tested in the government's Forensic lab in Chandigarh, which concluded that it was a fake.
