Monica Bedi

Monica was born in Punjab but her parents immigrated to Norway when she was 10 months old. In 1992, Monica Bedi joined Oxford university to study English Literature. At Oxford she met the well-known actor Manoj Kumar and probably that fuelled her interest in Bollywood. In 1995, her whole family with the exception of her mother immigrated to Norway. Monica married Abu Salem changed her name to Fauzia and both of them relocated to Lisbon, Portugal. In November 2003 she was sentenced to prison for possessing forged travel documents. In September 2006, the special court of the CBI convicted Monica Bedi to five years rigorous imprisonment on the grounds of cheating, criminal planning and using a faked passport. Later Monica was seen on the small screen in Big Boss 2 on Colors.
