London, November 07 : Italy''s Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi told the president of Kazakhstan on Friday that a recent rise in the country''s populationwas due to the virility of its menfolk.
The Italian premiere got guileless during Kazakhstan’s President Nursultan Nazarbayev recent visit to Rome and praised the country’s "great natural resources and huge demographic growth," to add with a smile that it "demonstrates the great vitality of all Kazakh males".
Berlusconi suggested that the virility of Kazakhstan''s men was reason for the former Soviet country''s population growth, reports the Scotsman.
Also, Nazarbayev said that his nation’s population had seen an increase of 1.4 million over the past decade to 16 million people.
He further expressed his gratefulness to Berlusconi for forwarding support to the Kazakh presidency of the Organisation for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) next year.
