1992: India and Pakistan had to wait for five World Cups to play each other. On March 4, 1992, Mohammad Azharuddin elected to bat at the Sydney Cricket Ground. Sachin Tendulkar’s rapid 54 helped India to 216-7 (49). Pakistan responded well with Aamer Sohail’s 62, but Tendulkar dismissed him. Pakistan collapsed from 105-2 to 173 all out.
