Well, Robert DeNiro, if your goal was to make sure that those Fockers films don't go down as the low point of your steadily collapsing career, then mission accomplished. I suppose I should at least thank you for going to Italy to lay down this particular clunker but, really ... did you have to drag Monica Bellucci down with you?
DeNiro will next appear in Italian romantic comedy-dramaManual Of Love 3, a three part romantic anthology film from director Giovanni Veronesi in which he performs in Italian with the normally stunning Monica Bellucci as his romantic opposite. Except whether because of Veronesi's failings as a director or DeNiro's total anti-charisma as a romantic lead this counts as the one and only time that I can recall ever having seen Bellucci on screen without finding her even the slightest bit attractive. Amazing to think that the may have accomplished this without consciously trying to.

I really don't understand what it is with DeNiro these days. He surely can't need the money. So why does he keep doing role after role that he seems to be sleepwalking through on screen? Is he simply unable to let go? Whatever the reason is we're now well past the point where I wish he'd just simply stop.
