Monica Bellucci to star in new “political film

Monica Bellucci is set to star in a new political film called Rhinos Season.

According to Variety, the movie from Iranian director Bahman Ghobadi is the follow-up to the hit flick No One Knows About Persian Cats. 

The Sorcerer’s Apprentice star, 46, recently confirmed to Italian newspaper La Repubblica that she had joined the cast of the new film. 

She described the movie, which is set before and after the revolution in Iran, as a “political film”. 

But she added that it is primarily “a great love story in which I will play an Iranian woman”. 

Rhinos Season is set to start shooting in Turkey, in March.
