Anne Hathaway Quotes

To Scotland on Sunday, on being cast in "Brokeback Mountain:"
”I just didn't think I was any good, and felt lost. I didn't know how to communicate with people. So to be cast as a character who had nothing to do with who I was, and do it in the company of people like Heath Ledger and Michelle Williams, and not stick out like a sore thumb, was huge.”
On Saturday Night Live, on ex-boyfriend Follieri:
”I broke up with my boyfriend and two weeks later he was sent to prison for fraud.”
To W magazine, on her breakup from Follieri:
“It's a situation where the rug was pulled out from under me all of a sudden … (But) I've been shown such kindness. Not everyone gets that. A lot of people go through tough times alone."
"I try not to date where I work. It makes life easier. I don't say no to anybody because I'd hope that people wouldn't say no to me just because I'm an actor — but they'd have to be pretty extraordinary."
