127 Hours Movie Review and Ratings

127 Hours Movie Review and Ratings

After the massive success of Slumdog Millionaire, both Danny Boyle and A R Rahman are back again with 127 hours in which Boyle tells one of the most horrifying survival stories in the best way as ever.
To express the excellence of movie it will only be sufficient to tell that the small and simple movie fetched 6 nominations in Oscar including two for A R Rahman for its music.
127 hours greatly depict Boyle’s style of presentation of big things in small and simple way. The movie is based on the real life, inspiring movie of a mountain climber Aron Ralston who was trapped under a boulder in Utah National Park restricting his movement and how he kept himself alive their from losing hope for over five days.
After a frenetic couple of hours on a mountain bike, he continues on foot and meets Megan (Amber Tamblyn) and Kristi (Kate Mara), who are lost. But in a freak accident, he is literally stuck between a rock and a hardplace trapped by his forearm between a boulder and a cliff-face. Over the five six days, with no sign of rescue and his water having run out, he comes to execute a brutal solution.
AR Rahman’s music is riveting. “If I Rise” is brilliant in particular. Nevertheless, James Franco’s performance has received lots of appreciation from them.
In nut shell, the movie is exciting, touching and visually compelling but has neither a message nor metaphorical meaning. Well, in short, it is worth watching.
127 Hours Movie Ratings: 4.5 out of 5
